Ok people. Myself and a good friend are looking to get back into competition. I used to be a bit of a local legend. And my friend took home second in either the 99 or 00 finals. We are planning on making a comeback tour. My questions are how many points are required for finals? How much crazy stuff have we missed in the last 8 years? And are classes still based on rms at 4 ohms? If they are what would a guy go off of if the manufacturer doesn't rate at 4 they only rate at 2 1 and .5?

Hello, and welcome back. Lots of changes in the last 8 years, best way to catch up would be to go this website and read over the rules and classes. As far as amp ratings, don't quote me because I'm usually wrong, but I think as far as amp ratings it would be the highest advertised(printed) rating. I don't know the case if it isn't rated in 4 ohms, but this is the place to find out.
