| Again. Drag has 2 very popular clamped classes. And mwspl is also clamped and very popular. Being in kc we should be able to get all those guys to come play. | |

| I say make a class for it clamped but keep other classes so we still have usaci basis of 4 ohm rating.... I think ralph would go for it .. But remember its 2 more classes so he may ask us too give up two other classes... I still think it should be done if we have too loose some too get this going..... | |

| Clamped classes are definitely needed. And more importantly... Wanted. It's absolutely the most fair and universal way to do power classes. ANYbody with ANY amp can play. Any amp. Any person. I'd say that's pretty universal.
If anybody thinks clamped power isn't popular or doesn't gain any attention; when Danny did his 150 on less than 500w clamped earlier this year... There were 500 people viewing the thread about it on caco for hours. 500 f'n people. The most I'd ever seen at once was 100-150 at one time.
If usaci starts a clamped power class, I'll be the first one in line to play.

| I like the whole clamped idea to me it's more impressive to see a 157 with 3500 watts then a 160 with 10k watts | |

| ill let you into a little future pic here
when loud and clear or swat went to MWSPL they learned more about the technical side of this sport, and how to squeez every bit out of what they had. It was seen as a handicap for them, but that wasnt true at all they already had great builds and well were now learning the tech side of it all as well. long story short theystill wooped peoples asses even while being handicapped alot of people learned it was just about the 9k watt 500@4 ohm amp. It even went further than that now loud and clear would rule the 0-600 classes because of what they were learning in MWSPL, and to be honest could still rule this class today

| With being around drag and mwspl i just see itvas a opportunity to bring some of them back or new guys in. Cause since this post ive probably gotten 15 texts or calls from interested people who are definitely not buying a usaci special 500w@4ohm amp. Does anyone wonder ehy usaci gets no support from any manufacturer besides who has a 500w amp? | |

But thats a different subject. Thatsmore online with how usaci needs a 100% restructuring of classes. All this post is trying to take advantage of a couple classes already going that work.

| also we knew finals would suffer this year because of location so lets not make it out like the classes suffered from ratings.
when it comes back to a usaci location it will be big again

| I'm a drag and Iasca guy. I did a few usaci shows locally that a shop held and liked it alot really. it's neat to see how cars are setup differently etc. I would enjoy competing in usaci NEXT year too but i know my amps won't be usaci friendly. I think generalizing the power limit's into something that is universal makes thing A) more fair, B) more appealing, and C) allows for growth for new products within the organization. | |

didnt you get 2nd or 3rd in drags clamped stock class? With a sundown amp? Probably makes half what a usaci special makes and rated more @4ohm

I really hate all of these "little birdie" or insider info comments. Why don't you people just share what you know? It's retarded.
