PostSubject: why is it clipping???   Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:20 pm

i finally just put my lil system together. this is what i have in my truck.

headunit - pioneer ph-36bt
subs - 2 digital designs 9500 15s ( G motors ) with 8in cf dustcap
box - pwk designs ( horn ported )
amp - DD m3a.

and everything stock in the electrical area.

my porblem is that when i connect the bass knob to the amp the clipping light stayd on then the amp goes into protection mode.
and im trying to figure why its doing it. i still have the amp hook up but have everything set low. so can any one help me out..
ill put up a pic of my system.

Sounds like a short in the remote cable. Try another cable, I have had a couple get pinched and that happen

The clipping knob is very inaccurate. The pac lc-1 is great. Just goes in between rcas to amp.

They are very nice and can be taken apart and custom mounted in a dash panel.

Wow thanks I just bought it and installed it n this thing really cuts all signal from the amp.
At first glance it seem cheap but it's really something else. I love it
I gave a demo n had knob really low where lil signal going to them
And the guy was telling me, " bro, for two 15 there not loud. Don't be mad but don't be cheap buy kicker, there the best sub on market." As soon he finally that sentence I turn the knob up n this lil \"Female dog\" opens the door n taps out. Lol
