Joint Finals a success. USACI numbers down due to very remote (from USACI) location but better than expected. Results posted on web site.

First topic message reminder :

hey guys,
need some feedback from competitors. in order to start making a push into the lower power classes we are thinking of launching some amps that will be rated 500 x1 @ 4, ultra low stability and 18v capable. we have some proto types already, but never launched the amp into production but may if there is a demand for it. pics show amp in old style heatsink, we will put it in the new white style heatsink for production models.

After some testing and redesigning, here is a pic of the 2012 guinea pig of the Zero5 pcb. Production will be with red PCB, B2 logos on caps, and in the white heatsink. Small amp, big power. 18v ready. Amps will be here in the states in 4-6 weeks.

idk when but thought they didnt have to be unless it was protested? otherwise it just went off manufactures rating right? im sure they will take whatever steps are necessary to have it certified if it needs to be

This IS true! We could run the m1s if they had the manufacturer rating. Until it gets protested .
I am sure the zero 5 / D5killer will pass

Makes alot of sense based off his sig
Especially considering hes never tested one. ve personally had my hands on the other zero5 and its not a d5 killer. If this new amp is. Id like to see it pass 4ohm testing. The quad 0guage throws me off. I never new it was offered in a amp that fits.

Its whatever really. More manufacturer in the game is good. But i just wont be excited to see the rating game any more exploited than it is. The amp we tested is solid and on par. But the latest revision im not so sure. I was told 20% more power than the one we tested. That's alot

new amp has more on board capacitance, and you should see increased output with higher voltages. amp is more effecient than previous one, last one was an '08 prototype so this new one has some newer technology in it. primary concern in this build was effeciency because of battery regulations in some classes. amp doesnt make more power than the old one at 4 or even 1 ohm, but as imp drops and effeciency comes more into play it theoretically should be louder, thats what i was told anyway...lol

the readings we took were after 3 sec. not set on peak hold. it was done with the video cam on my phone so we got the numbers right down to the sec.

I am a true believer in the D5. when i seen that amp i thought BS that will make 5k but i was wrong

here is a video of fish's civic and not the best results either.

Yeah just over 10k like i was saying . And no way of knowing how clipped or useable that power is for every car. So i dont like to tell everyone one cars big numbers. On 15v startibg 5k is a solid useable power.
