Did you seriously just say that? The arrogance of that statnent alone makes me not give a s$hit to support your finals.. not counting the last minute in organization issues were used to..

I'd have to guess a huge % of usacis money comes from southern states. Can't imagine why its a good idea to talk $hit to people who live there cause they can't make finals..

I haven't read anyone say that. What I have read is people saying they aren't able to be off work...afford gas..afford 3-4 nights at a hotel. Etc etc.. I think its safe to say most expected finals around ark. It has been talked about alot. Now that drive doubled. Nothing wrong with not being happy about it.

I was hoping it was Arkansas. Joel was about to step up and support. Not sure now...

I just don't understand the big deal with people saying they are out cause they can't go...

Just give up man... U know it's bull Dung Pile and is never gonna change around here... I wouldn't waste the time anymore... Finals will be at an all time low Im guessing...

Its sad I have more respect for other orgs than the one I've supported for 10+ years.. I'd Almost rather make the long drives and get points for another org...thats more organized ..and less headaches.. every year we sit and biitch and bicker about things we shouldn't have to as competitors.. issues at finals.. judges..rules..etc..

It's not the extra gas money.

It's obvious to compete at a championship level that you need a dedicated SPL vehicle. Now, you have to have a dedicated SPL vehicle that is reliable enough to make a 30+ hour round trip. Or buy, borrow, rent, steal a truck and trailer to haul it there.

No one is going to lose any sleep if I don't/can't go or if I ever compete again, but I've been saying all along it needs to be cheaper. This might just be the straw that broke MY Usaci camel's back.

evan im thinking what alan is saying is that you dont need to quit competing just because you cant make it to finals now. you compete for the love of doing so, and if you cant make finals well then you cant make it but that should not deter you from competing all togather

And the people can't set aside that budget can't go.. its very simple.

I'm personally not trying to be negative when i say I don't know if I can swing it now. I wasent Heart set on going to finals. If I decided to go I could of gathered the 400 or so to go to Shreveport or something. But this is just s much bigger feat than I think I can afford this year. $700-800 is about the minimum I figure we could scrap by with.. and that's ALOT of money for me to set aside in 4 months.

I'm just glad I'm retired.. It's not a money issue to me bc if me and my team decided we wanted to go we would go no problems... I've been to Indy and there was nothin there the first time except Peyton and now he's gone... I wish everyone luck...

I'll just say this...

I can afford it.

But if I have to go to Indy for finals, I'll run DB Drag.

To bad we couldn't do it old school team sweep style with a 5th wheel and 4 cars on a trailer

I definitely think the show will be nice to be at with the other orgs there. I would like to see about running them too.

well,this is a long ass way for me to drive,but i will drive the suburban pulling a trailer for anybody that would like a tow from down here in la,160's db daily tow rig!

I will be in the usaci and iasca lanes .not sure about drag but maybe ...

The location of Finals is irrelevant. It is the selection of qualified people judging the event that is important. IF trained, unbiased, fair, judging will be guaranteed then many will make the drive to wherever the location will be. Let's just hope that this will be the case and not LAST MINUTE bs like we've seen before. There is plenty of time between now and then to make it all happen...
