| O.k. we had a serious discussion at my friends shop.... Here's the situation.... In trunk 0-1 what can be ran.... Can I run a dc 5k since its manufactors rating is 1k @ 4 or a saz 4500 that is rated @ 900 @ 4.... do we go at 1 ohm rating and divide by 4 or their 4 ohm rating?? | |

| what about the dc 5k? is says 900@4, but also says 5k @ 1ohm. so that amp is not alowed under 1000. is this correct? | |

| This thread could get ugly quick.... If you search for some of the 0-600 amps you will see a lot of arguing over the right way to determine the 4 ohm rating. You will also find that there are some borderline amps that only made it in the class because the manufacturer has paid to have the amp certified by a lab and then usaci approved for that class based on lab testing results
This could happen for some 0-1k amps too but I haven't heard of any being tested. I thought for sure that the new ns-1 was going to fit into 0-600 or 0-1k based on what a sundown rep told me but now that I have seen the 1 ohm rating there is no way

| The ns-1 would be a game changer if 2 could be used in 0-1000 | |

| I would hate to bust out the cash for a dc 5k and find out that I get bumped up a class because it's 4 ohm and 1 ohm/4 rating are different.... Someone has to clarify this for me. | |

DC site lists 900 @ 4, so I understood that is the rating used. Run 2 in SS601-1800, and yes I know D5 is the amp for that class but I would like to support DC as that's what we sell in my shop.
