| Hey guys, this question has definitely been asked by I or some of the other single cab guys in here before, but it has never been answered. Mainly because its never really clarified in the rules. In a single cab with a factory center console, can the center console be removed from the vehicle during testing? My setup peaks between 39-41hz depending on the ambient temperature, and yesterday i was doing some testings and decided to completely remove the center portion of my 40/20/40 split bench. Once removed i discovered that my resonating frequency dropped to 36hz and at that frequency I am now producing the same spl as I did at 39-41hz. If removing the center console is not legal than there is no point in me going into detailed testing with it removed. Hopefully a judge or someone can chime in on this. | |

| they remove the center consols in the s-10s so i would say its ok to do so as long as that style truck came out with a truck that has no consol;;; | |

Hmm.. not sure, i think the ext cabs came without the console and had a plastic console in its place. The regular cabs had the console which folds up into a center seat. Its not directly stated anywhere, and there are people doing it, and no one saying not to do it. I just don't want to exhaust my efforts on tuning at 36hz only to get told in the lanes that I'm not good to go.. | |

| You are good to go. You could even purchase racing seats and gain a bit more. | |
