| ok so i am prob putting my asz on the line here , do we really need a fancy convention hall, with a major hotel or could we scale down the expense...maybe more people would compete if it did not cost so much to get a room, pay 150 for your class , 65 for power ,100 for trailer parking , i understand it is very expensive for usaci to put on such a show in such a place , i really come to finals to see every one once a year , could we do it for less money on both ends..maybe a a fair ground , they still have covered areas , we still could advertise and have people come to see the show....
could we have this in norther mo. or northern ar . it still sucks for people like kumar , but for most it would be pretty central...
i am just thinking outside the box , i personaly can not afford this again , i love the sport and the people in it , but this is like getting smaller every year , just throwing sht out there.

| taz you cna't be more right man an i an many others do agree with you 100 percent. i think we went over this some months ago though. do we really need all that. even though other orgs have theirs out in a field or parking lot but look at the attendance in relations to ours inside of building. i would love to see something like we do down here in scrapin da coast. its a convention center but we could have the comps outside an sq inside the convention center. only thing i would worry about is us leaving our cars out there over night but its something i think they should look into sometime soon. | |

| Maybe if finals was promoted properly, it would have had more foot traffic. The convention center is great but not much there into car audio. Do u wonder why there are not many manufacturer support at USACI Finals? The only thing that I see that is making finals survive for the past years are the die hard competitors. | |

| WOW I am so glad you feel this way because I have already talked to Ralph and I think we have decided to put 2012 Finals in Northern Arkansas and in a outdoor venue that also has a partial indoor venue. I think it would be great to take USACi back to the basics, which is the foundation on which we ALL started. But then again this is my opinion |

| I'm down for anything. I like Shreveport, but anything that keep the attendance going up I'm in full suport of.
Just need to find a way to get as many competitors there as possible.
The more foot traffic there is, the more the vendors will want to be there, and so on....

| I agree on the price I love competing but its getting to the point where I'm not going to be able to spend that much money on a show. I already spend alot of money on the builds to make it to finals. The other think I didn't like was the open invitation to finals. I understand that usaci wants more people at finals but everyone who worked hard to get the 200 point to qualify for finals spend alot of time and money earning those points. Its understandable for people who don't have shows in there area but for other people its not fair. | |

| I think finals should be open inventaion. Give the people with points a discount. For example: 0 points entree fee is $200, 100 points entree fee is $100, 200 points entree fee is 50, anybody accruing over 500 points give them a free invite.

| That might work its just they need to decide what they want to do instead of changing the rules every year | |

| 1. No rules changes again thsi year. 2. Looking at a more cost effective venue to bring down prices. 3. Promotion requires money. No booths no cash. Catch 22

| Jeff, along those same lines, instead of points, what about a discount per the amount of events a competitor has participated at throughout the season. Each event a competitor participates at would reduce the finals fee by "X" dollar amount. The more events a competitor participates in, the less it would cost for them to attend finals.

| Why should People pay more from a region that has no show? It' s not their fault. Doing that will cost less to competitor to attend Finals. It should be based on a point curve. If u have show in your area, u should be able to get points. | |

| Even with no prize involve, There are a few of us who likes to work hard and be on to of our game. how about a percentage from the show throughout the year, used for prizes for finals. This might give others incentives to attend finals. Bottom line, u might gain more than what u invested. When I started to compete, the former ne director, use toggle out prizes(amp, speakers, subs, radio etc). The turnout use to be great. Those prizes was all donated from manufacturer. These are just a few ideas. P.s. 1 I wanted that UsacI T-shirt. I bought and collected from every year I went to finals. This yr I didn't buy because of some principles involve. 2 why should someone whose membership did not expire, had to renew before they can run in the lane. Was told you can't run 2 finals with the same membership. 3. Different amount advertise, different amount charged at door. | |

| 1. Sorry about the shirt. I have art if you want me to make one:-) 2. That is the policy, right or wrong. 3. Type O on the fliers. Really hurt the bottom line.
I was however really glad to see you there! Thank you for all your support!

| for us up north that wanted to attend (montana and north dakota) we didnt have the cash. we have a couple die hards (group of 7 currently---1 being bruce dufner SPL Judge {didnt bring comp vehicle due to cost}) and we have a few bigger builds with some die hard 16-17 year olds dropping all thier money every pay check to build thier systems! we cant afford to make it all the way down south thou. more central location would get some of our shop team members and a few of the montana boys down, also cheaper hotel and a possible less entry fee would help. Up here we have Redline Audio Sidney, Mt (1 triple point event) and us Bismarck, ND (2 double point events) every year. other then that we dont have any other USACI Shows so we are limited to only those 3 if everyone can attend them all. If we had a more central location IE Missouri or Nebraska Im sure at least 5 of us would be competing at finals and our cars would be full with the rest of the guys coming to watch.
Also one thing that helps our shows is getting products donated from manufacturers for give aways, also some give us free products along with half of cost on some for raffles. the raffles are pretty big hits that alot get in on ($2 ticket on $100 set coaxs----$5 ticket on 2-12" subs etc). We also do games to win products- frozen t-shirt contest (ball up tshirts wet them and freeze---contestants have to break apart and put them on), sub/speaker/deck toss (blown equipment tossed into rings on the ground for points), sub screw (by hand screw in subs into wood to see who does fastest) etc. sometimes we do 3 to 4 different things in an elimination style and everyone loves it and its even alot of fun to watch. just a couple things we do
Also, everyone should no to put a GPS Tracker on FISH. He gets lost completely sober!
