newb to sq

well i have always been on the bass side of things and just recently sold my subs and amps and am looking for some beginner sq equipment.i don't want to win shows just really loud crisp and clear. right now i have an eclipse ccd3200 head unit.i have some image dynamics ctx65cs components and i love how they sound.i had them on a jl a4300 and they got decently loud and sounded really good.im wanting to keep them but up the power to them. the two amps im looking at currently are the arc audio ks 300.2 180rms x2 at 4ohms plenty power and clean signal.or the image dynamics i2600 which is 150rms x2 @ 4ohms plenty of power also clean signal.which of these amps would be the better?also i have a blazer and im debating on a 4" component in the dash or a 4x6 possibly the image dynamics ctx46. i would like to run something in the dash to bing up my soundstage any help would be appreciated

I'm not too familiar with that equip, but for sq, your on the right track looking at the dash. I have always ran kickpanels with 5 1/4's, and 6 to 8's in the doors in my cars, but I've always had cars with small dash's and didn't want huge apillars.

I have done installs with 3's in the apillars and/or 4's in the dash. much easier to bring the staging up.

Just be sure to not short yourself on your processor, get a nice one.

as far as a processor what do i need to look for.i know absolutely nothing about processors, like i said im not lookin for something to win competitions with just something i can jam on and sound good. but i also dont wanna cut corners but if im not gonna benefit from it then i dont wanna spend money on it.cause to be honest i dont think i know enough about sq to think the difference would be audible,ive heard with processors you can get them to sound good on a few spngs but not every song...(maybe that was equalizers idk..)

There are a lot of them out there.

If you're not familiar with them, then I would recommend an AudioControl processor. I have used the EQX, but the EQL is a good one also.

They are not too expensive, and very easy to install, and when you're ready to upgrade, you can usually sell them for a decent price.

The manual will walk you through the install and tuning process.

There are probably more, but that is the easiest one I've used.
