| I was wondering if any one have good information about a box? Does fiber glassing the inside of a spl box really make a diffrence or is it the same as not doing it? | |

| well i dont know about glassing it but the smoother the box the better.I've heard of people doing just resin and sanding the hell out of it like down to 3000 grit | |

| I heard some guys gained from Glassing or using Resin in their boxes, but I have also heard of guys losing because of it. I really think it depends all on your vehicle. | |

| crx si for us worked best with 4 6" aeros. had 1 cube each chamber with 2 6" per. we did a 152.9 with 2 pioneer 10s from 1998 ($90 msrp) and switched the face to 2 12" mojos (old orange basket) and did 153.7. we then resined the entire inside of box and went to 154.4 with the 12s. next we resined the exterior of the box and did 154.6 (ext was raw mdf). we then made an identical box out of baltic 13 layer birch and did 154.1 raw 154.8 with inside resinned and 154.7 with outside resined. that was with 2 memphis 4kws and identical deck and amp settings for all to ensure acurate testing and batts were fully charged for each test.
as for resin...i have always seemed to gain but when i resin inside of boxes i also round all corners | |

| Seems like the resin being smooth, it decreases surface tension | |
