Finals Registration

A determination has been made that, there will be NO late SPL registration on Sunday. In order to enter as a rerun on Sunday, competitor must have run in the lanes on Saturday. only exception will be sq vehicles that competed on Saturday and couldn't make the SPL lanes on Saturday. Only proveable pre-registrates will be considered for extenuating circumstances. ie: car fell off trailer, trailer fell off tow vehicle,etc etc,]

This decision will be made by the Head Judge.

A Finals run smooth, I love it! Let's keep it that way Everyone please....rules are in place for a reason.

i was told this was the rule in i think 03?? when i festiva blew the head gasket and i had to leave it an hour from finals.. and do everything i could to get it into the lanes saturday in order to be able to re run on sunday.. it was Don who told me this in KC , glad we all finally remember

sounds like a great rule there but i think if your not in the building by a certain time on saturday you shouldn't be able to run lmao but thats just me i guess

told and written are 2 differant things there are alot of untold rules and i want every rule or decision finalized in writting within the damm rule book for all to see

We will have gone over the rule book to clarify where needed and should ready for release a couple of weeks after finals.

Don is the head judge, period! If anyone has a complaint it goes to Don first, if you still have a problem we will have forms at the registration desk you can fill out to explain your problem with the decision. At that point we gather up the R&E committee and go to a private room for discussion to come up with a ruling on the situation. (Ralph nor I will come to the lanes for discussion, unless you want to say Hi or talk about something other than lane/rule stuff)

Not really! That didn't happen last year. Just Sayin' I would have loved to fill out a complaint form last year, and described all the BS that got over looked then over ruled and allowed to run anyway. You know exactly what I am talking about I hope.(Crossfire/Larry/Van)

Believe me, I know what you are talking about. That kind of thing WILL NOT happen this year. If a competitor believes I made a ruling going against the rules, then he/she can fill out a form explaining my violation, and r/e will look at it and vote, that day.

I wasn't publicly announced as me being the Event Director for World Finals last year either Who do you think came up with this solution to what happened last year, we voted and it passed.

This is the way it will be handled, Ralph has agreed! (or Ralph will be sent to Time Out/The Corner)

Ok, so does this mean I will not be allowed to compete? I am working all day Saturday till 4pm. I was going to roll in on Sunday to run in the lanes. Is this not possible?

Just like every year ReRuns are only on Sunday, with that being said no

How long will it take you to get there on Sat? The lanes are usually open later on Sat. if that helps.

Wow...guess not. Takes me 4 hours to get to Shreveport. Ok, guess I won't make it this year. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time. Saves alot of headaches in the end. Good luck to all and have fun.

The only thing I can work out is to talk to Don and see if he minds waiting till around 8:30pm to get you in the lane. That is about all I can offer, if you want to try and make it.

Jenissa, thanks for trying to work with me. I have been in the game long enough to know Dung Pile always happens on the road. I will sit this year out. Just don't want to be in a rush as thats when everything goes wrong. I really do say thanks. Always next year, i hope.

You mean they are actually gonna have to show up and run Saturday??? Anybody got the numbers on this? 50:1???
