| not really a good comparison man the d9 is more like the ab500.1 and if its sb id say th ab because the d5 really makes its power at low imp but it is a beast. if it was for burps for certain classes id say d5. why not a d9? | |

| I heard a lot of bad things about the d9's a while back on here. people were talking about them breaking. It was when everyone was selling them. | |

| d9's are by far one of the ebst amps i have tested besides the ddz2
the d5 will also handle the ab500.1 as well
the d5 is a monster whejn loaded down, and will also drain a system like no other
me and Jimbo know this first hand
the d9 is a beast for what it is, and will throw up some seriouse power as well my best luck with them on 16v is right at .5 each

| they were only blowing up (the d9s) because ppl were wiring them too low and stuff. like sanman said 16 volts at .5 and your golden. i think alan had his at .25 last year at finals if im not mistaken | |

| If ohms to low they protect. No one I know has ever lost one. Yeah I had mine @.5 strapped it all depends on the box how low they will run. But they will def protect before you hurt one | |

| They will protect for sure! I have ran D5's for 2 years never protect. And I have tested everything with them @.16 and 20 seconds of tone they did protect but that was just stupid low for more than burps. | |

| so you guys think the d5's are stronger than the american bass amps? also, why are the d5's and d9's almost the same price for such a big power difference? | |

| I really want a d5 now. I think part of the appeal is because they are hard to find at a good price. So how do the cactus 600's compare to the d5's? they seem to sell a good deal cheaper than the d5 | |

| you cant run 2 in 0-1000 or 4 in 1001-2000
they are a little and i mean little less power than the d5, and the cactus is a hell of a lot unstable
but all in all i liked them | |

| I think most are cheap cause of the sudden lack of us support. Maybe im wrong though..and the fact they can't run the sane classes as a D5 like jeff said | |
