yup this is a classic sign of to much distortion

even though clipping i good for power not all subs can handle it

in this shot you can see the fire. The cone was burnt to a crisp it just crumbled apart. It smells like a camp fire in my car. Lol

I know the feeling. My RAV smells like magic smoke, after the Audiopipe APSM-1300 died last week.

After it popped, the amp kept belching smoke but wouldn't trip the fuse or protection. Had to rip out the power wire, since the amp stayed on AFTER the car was off.

Audiopipe = fire hazard

Btw, their customer service strategy is "annoy the customer and make them jump through hoops... so they're too frustrated to RMA". Luckily I'm a persistent fella when it's a genuine manufacturer fault.

IS THIS ON THE RD H.W SUBS MAN BECAUSE IF SO THIS IS THE SAME EXACT ISSUE I HAD IN MY SDIME AT FINALS IN TULSA I DIDN GET HALFWAY THROUGH MY VOLUMKE BEFORE THIS SAME THING HAPPEND AND ILL BET WHEN YOU PULL THE COILS OUT THE GAP THEY HAVE DIME SIZE HOLS IN THEM FROM THIS AS WELL

That wos from one d9 on one coil the other 3 coils err dead so I hooked it up and let it have it! Lol

some bondo and super glue would fix that right up!!

no i dont have to barrow i paid for all 6 d9's out of pocket off a bowling tournament i placed second in down in springfield mo called the great ozarks open i won 7800 bux off it, and then bought all my d9's

so try again dude im not a borke \"Female dog\" playing the barrow spl game

i was going to this year ( barrow that is), but just cant brinbg myself to do it, and i dammm sure cant spend anymore money to do this sport
