| Nope. The 4500@1 ohm rating is bigger than the 900@4. 4500@1 = 2250@2 = 1125@4.
1125 watts is the Usaci 4ohm rating.

| Usaci rated this amp at 1124. The sundown spec says it does 900 @ 4 ohm which this amp would be perfect for that class | |

| If manufacture rates it at 900@4 ohm then thats what's used unless protested and rerated. | |

| the 4 ohm or divide the 1 ohm down and use the larger.. in this case like stated about 4500@1=2250@2=1125@4= Too big | |

| Skip the thing is. Some pass some don't is cause the ones actually tested pass. If the amp was tested there's probly a good chance 900 would work. But it could say 4500 at 1ohm. Because in usaci eyes its literaly impossible for an amp to make 900w at 4 and 4500. At 1. That would mean it more than doubls its power when impedence is halfed each time. And most amps wont do that. But the % rule and distortion tested help alot of amps have a low 4 ohm rating. | |

| I said at the member meeting about 35-40 years ago when Ralph introduced us to CEA rated amps.. that ALL amps that wanted to run a power class need be CEA rated or else run unlimited .. but no one cared. Cause usaci competitors favor these amps built around our rules for whatever reason.. I don't think forcing a cea rating is any more of a big deal than the time invested by a manufacture to having these usaci special amps done... | |

what about the cactus pf600?? it's been tested to do well over 600 but yet it's still good for 0-600....?? check your stats...... it was tested and was under the required amount of watts. Pay for the 4500 to get tested and if it falls under the required amount of watts, then you can use it.

| maybe sundown should send some of there amps in to get tested.. im pretty sure competitors would run them more then what they do now.. i wouldnt mind running 2 4500s in 601-1800.. | |
