| I worked on this box most of the day Saturday. Didn't get it done in time for the Bulldog Show... but I think it came out pretty nicely. The wrap was an LSU snuggie, from the grandparents. I couldn't just throw it away... and it was the perfect size for 4 faces of the box. As with all my builds, this one gets a name. "Mike the Frugal Tiger" Box Specs - 8cf before displacements. 3 - 4" aeros tuned to ~26 Hz (daily & Decaf) and undecided freq for comp. Screw Salvaging from the old POS box Cuts Drawn Out - Whose Got Wood? Double Baffle (dried overnight) Measure Twice - Still Screw It Up Geaux Spray Adhesive~! This Used To Be a Snuggie, BTW. Final Adjustments In-Car... Freaking Huge! Tasty Window Line | |

| Thanks fellas! I'm always telling people that I build ugly boxes because I'm lazy and SPL is more important... It's nice to take a little time to make a good looking daily box. Response on this box is crazy deep. I wasn't joking about Track 10... it stays "loud" down to 35 Hz, and below that it never "goes mechanical" (floppy). I need to remove the subsonic filter, and test the range @DbDaddy, Thanks for the advice on ports. This is just enough, and 3x this amount would have been a waste. @BeatN, you know... Biloxi is closer to LSU than Ole Miss (go to hell!) or Miss State (go state!) or Bama (you can keep Saban) or Auburn (Smells like corndogs?) @ Chris, It will not be as loud as your HWs, but it does cost as much as 1 HW motor (used) | |

| That's awesome! I have never messed with cheaper subs than the mojo's so who knows what I could do in this challenge? It does sound like fun. Mayby I will give it a shot later. | |

| Dig it. Your presence would honor the $150 Challenge. It's a fun side project, and gratifying in a different way than normal SPL. You'd probably enjoy it, then get that thirst for big numbers. Eventually, I'll get bored with it too... but for now, it's fun to build high-end boxes for low-end gear. The nice thing is, when I get bored... the box can be stuffed with L7's and a 0-600 amp (4x the power) ... and it will post up decent stock numbers. Depending on how the new SB CD sounds, I might suggest "The $150 Track 10 Challenge" or maybe "Cheap-End Monster" or "Bottom-Shelf Monster" Just thinking outloud. | |
