| last week I received my hi-fonics under 20 dollar woofers and last thrus. I put them on a box and my cheap a$$ amp think like it (clpided and burn fuses ) .But still went to compete and hit a 142.5 on Sunday .I wanted to take this to 145-146 I figure that is a decent number for that price and a trunk. So , what I do................ built a different box today and tested and this is the result just after I thru the box and did frequency test . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xahgw-_yPkY | |

| well the 150 dollar is just for amp and woofers .I use the Jetta , the reason is because ,I can see what I can do for under 150 and the woofers are extremely easy to move. Chris , you know how heavy boxes get beef up for heavy a$$ woofers and this way I move and experiment with different boxes. | |

| Oh, and let me clarify that the price I quoted is for BNIB speakers, and is available to everyone who does as much research as I did to find that price....thus making them fully legit for this challenge. | |

| Good luck with that $1.58 junk. Couple years ago I blew some up in about 15 seconds. Funny thing is it was just off of 14 watt per channel deck power. | |

| So, you could get 30 8" Legacy woofers... and a couple "$50" amps for a total system cost of ~$1000 Stuff them into a vehicle, presumably isobaric loading (to stay in the cargo area). Enjoy a few lulz, and win your own 1/0 terminals back? This should be epic something ... DO IT!! | |

| Taz , you right again and that is the point. But , I can see where a person with less built experience would try to keep any advantage he can , just by calling it a 'CHALLENGE ' will put people in competition mode . | |

And for the record, I've built a total of 2 boxes in my life. So, some people have advantages in the build...some have the advantage in having lots of time to do research. Difference is YOU can do the same research I did and find the same product at the same price that I did. This is possible. On the other hand, I will NEVER have the build experience some of you have...no matter the amount of research I do. What I chose to keep a secret is of my own accord, thank you, sir.
I AM THE MAN....this is one we agree upon. first off it is not jealousy , it was to get you to understand that by not sharing where you can buy that product you are opening yourself up to concerns of price , or i could go on ebay and post product for what ever price i want , sell it to the few people i want and then remove it , then when someone else looks for that price they are screwed , this should not be about who can find the best deal on a product that is not available to everyone , if its a special coupon than its not retail......i agree on the no shipping part but not the i found coupons for...........or it was on sale ...........i am not building for this nor do i know anyone at this moment , i am just saying its about the build , as far as any one persons ability , this is new to everyone , building a system for a rd5 and rd subs is not going to work with cheap asss product , its like building an s10 , you build it for 1800 plus , take out the product , install a 0-600 system and it sucks , more or less hushmat , smaller or bigger box , you never know . maybe if you stopped surfing the net and built some boxes you would not need to hide prices that some will say bullsht to. just my 2cents.

| That may be a serious run-on... but Taz, you make alot of sense and you've got the idea 100%.
Armed may come across as a troll, but he's making alot of the same comments I did, early on. At first, I wanted to draw a definitive line for "compete/cheat"... to make sure I wouldn't get edged out by someone who has more/better stuff. Valid argument, if you're competing to win... and eventually ProRabbit will probably add more to the rules to define "the line".
Then, I realize that defining that line will send the $150 Challege along the SAME PATH as Street Beat. If you've been following the evolution of Street Beat, nothing more needs to be said. If you don't get it, PM me.
You can get loud with established gear or find a "great deal" ... you can share your prices and locations or not ... doesn't matter. The point is to personalize some cheap gear to your car, and show people that you have the skills to make a world-class builds, REGARDLESS of how crappy the product is. $150 is just a cap to keep things simple.
