Ralph has signed the paperwork and sent it back so guess it is time to get your hotel rooms now.

Below you will find the information for the HILTON in Shreveport, LA. The hotel is connected to the convention center.

HILTON HOTEL CODE IS: UCA

Two Ways to Make Reservations:

1. By Phone at 1800HILTONS

Be sure to have attendees mention the group code UCA in order to receive the discounted group rate when they call in

2. Online at www.shreveport.hilton.com

On the first screen, input the arrival and departure dates, then click on the GO button
Once you are taken to the second screen, this is where guests complete the reservations details (including stay information and room type preferences.
After completing the Stay Information and Room Type Preferences sections, scroll down to the Special Accounts section. Guests will input the group code UCA next to the field labeled: GROUP/CONVENTION CODE. Then click on the CONTINUE button.
Now guests can select the room they prefer (Double-Queen or King) at the group rate and complete their reservation.

And without enough points u have to pay 50 extra? I may be the only one that sees this as bull Dung Pile.. Since when can we do that? Sure wish I wouldve know because I wouldnt have to gone to any shows spent the extra 50 bucks and saved a Dung Pile ton of money... If if aint one thing its a thousand... Lets try goin by the rule book.. We haven't tried that yet.. Maybe it'll work...

(The monies collected over and above the POINTS entries will be given BACK TO THE COMPETITORS)

You should have told us this at the beginning of the year, I could have saved $300 on fees and gas even after paying the extra $50

But like I have said before USACi's business policy is the "what will make us the most money right now policy", at the beginning of the year the policy was everyone needed 200 points as usual, at the time this was the best way to make the most money, but folks the new policy to make the most money is to let everyone in for a few extra dollars(even though the rule book we don't follow says otherwise)

And what is the biggest complaint from competitors on why they are fed up, failure to follow the book.

I wonder if that could be one of the reason's people are disapearing?

Kinda crap if you ask me, like its my fault the only show near me was in vegas and cost me $500 in gas and trailor and entery fees, now I got to drive 21 hours to finals and pay double entry fee because there were no shows for me to get points, Hmmmmm, I may have to re-think this!

Ok so you didn't want me to tell you what is on the registration form? What happened was, some people didn't have shows in their area, was it their fault they didn't have enough points to compete? That is why it was voted on by R&E. This isn't for the people that had shows and did not attend. This is primarly for the people out there that HAD NO SHOWS to attend and go to Finals.

Is that a better explanation?

Oh well why didnt you explain it like that to begin with? or you could have used the points curve basis that is in the rule book and special invites for people that have no shows in there area.

You said "EVERYONE can enter" to me that means, well, everyone, even if it's someone in texas with 100 shows a year, to me "EVERYONE" doesn't mean just people with no shows like you've defined

after oct 2nd there are no shows lined up in louisiana until after june 2012, so i hope this rule will be in effect next year, then i wont drive to texas and mississippi for shows.

Base it off of location, just say if they're from Texas, which I know there were lots of shows it should be something different....I drove. But to those that were out in BFE, I totally understand.

Oh boy. I'm sure glad this post got cleared up. I was about to cry baaad lol. Its sad they we all know to well that BS can happen. And like Chad said.. this type of stuff IS where I think competiters are going. People want structure and want to feel like they are on a level playing field

There not all posted yet, i know every year in Feb there is an IFO in Belle Rose which has a Usaci event at it. I do agree there should be more shows around the area though, but it marginal.. between Louisiana and Mississippi there are roughly 10 shows a year.

So if it only cost 50 bucks more than i will only go to Padre and finals.....and save my money the rest of the year

well Alan I think we are all thinkin of one crew.. And something tells me that if they show up they will be able to play with 0 points.. and that is just bs.. Hate to be a dick but I beleive Moonie said it "if you wanna be the best you gotta be the best" well in my eyes the "best" also has to go by the same rules everyone else has to play by.. they have to be on a level playing field like you said.. I see Finals being full of drama again.. This is another reason why I'm considering retiring

Guys I have always kept you informed of everything I know or hear in meetings and so on. This is just something I thought you should know, maybe I was wrong, I didn't mean to upset or cause drama on here, just trying to keep you informed.

well the midwest had plenty of shows so no reason ,ia,ne,ks,mo,il,not ta have points ,dont know about the rest of the world

ok from a competitor stand point this would abslutely suck

from a buisness stand point and trying to be able to keep it in shreevport to apease my competitors this looks good

otherwise like the rumours were going around then it would be in Lowell AR.

LETS FACE IT it has to be hard to fund all this, and with people not putting out the effort to be points champions anymore, or to just prove they are the Dung Pile and hit every show possible well the money cant be there.

SOLUTION try to bring more people in with a very appealing offer to generate enough revenue to actually make finals happen where the majority or the competitors want it SHREEVEPORT.

i can see both side if this, and to be honest its probly the best way to do it i mean its eithet that or increase the price in the lanes

Very true.....so if more people show up....that means better prizes and better comp....i dont know about u guys but i enjoy compeating with other people and i dont want to be the only guy in a class....thats not fun

Exactly! I welcome anyone to my class. If I loose it only means try harder next year.

Ha ha! I will be there no matter what it costs! I enjoy every second of Finals every year, love the people, friends and competition

so what classes everybody runnin then? i know moonie ss0-600 and looks like dman s0-600 and fish is trunk 0-1000 but anybody else? ill be in sb 2 and maybe mini spl if i decide to bring it

as for everybody goin if u had shows within 2 hours of u and u didnt go i think u shouldnt be allowed to run at fiinals just my .02. i personally put up $ to bring enuff shows to my area to get points so id be pissed if somebody within like 2 hours of a show didnt go and then shows up and gets to run. i understand some people cant get the points without spending a fortune but if they had a chance and didnt that is their fault!
