cerwin vega stroker recone ?

anyone ever tried changing the imp on these? i talked to legacy about recones cuz i have single 4 ohm and need them to be a lower imp they told me the dual 2 ohm wont fit the gap for the single 4 ohm but their dual 4 ohm will maybe anybody ever reconed 1 and know whats up? i know subs have different size gaps and all but just figured a recone for this sub should fit it.lol

iirc the older stoker single coil had a tighter gap then the dual coil which came out later and a dual coil will not fit well
also IF you are talking about the older stoker you will not be able to find recone parts unless you get very lucky.I've called recone companies,cerwin vega,all of the factory repair shops.the lady i talked with at CV even dug around for old numbers that were no longer in service.
the best thing would be to measure the gap on the sub and see for yourself

check with legacy thats where i found mine they have single 4 and dual 4 and dual 2 they said the dual 4 should fit but ont the dual 2 id take a single 2 if i could get that too i just dont understand how a dual 4 will fit but not a dual 2 idk guess i might be stuck unless i can have them built custom.

The dual 2 has to have more turns on the former to get it that low.
