| Was wondering if anyone has had any issue with noise from these units? If so what can I do to remove it or where to have it repaired. | |

| was it a bad adapter or something on the zapco piece? b/c balanced doesn't pick up noise, it's GIGO. | |

Well someone tried making a balanced line connector going from the z1 to the dsp6. If you look at the back of the z1 it has a rj45 connector that is balanced right/left outputs. so they took a cat5e cable and hardwired it to a symbilink connector for the dsp6. Well the ground side of the rj45 to symbilink had broken so it wasnt grounding on the signal leads. Thus the noise. So that is now all fixed and quiet. Now to get the id mini horns to stage properly. Center image is great but right/left drops directly to the horns. And there is no stage depth to speak of. So I have my work cut out for me. Just wondering if I should even keep the horns or not. | |

| horns can work...I personally haven't messed with a set since the late 90s. A pair of pillar tweets playing real high may help your 'eyebrow'. Also...if those horns are angled up at you at all it will royally screw up the stage. They are supposed to be parallel to the floor. BUT...imo...I'm a conventional driver guy for carsound. | |
