Question about Highs. EV's louder than Beyma's or O2s??!

Hey there guys, im new to this forum. Been to a few USACi shows and been interested in competiting ever since. I've been wanting to put a couple 10" EVs in my car but I was told Beyma's and O2s is better for clarity and needs less power to be loud. Is this true? Is EV's very power hungry??

What would you guys recommend?? From my hearing, Beymas seem to have more clarity than EVs. But does EV's give way more vocals than Beyma or O2, since EV's are known for loud-speakers?

OK...you are putting pro-audio loudspeakers in your car...like EV=ElectroVoice?
If so, EV's stink in quality IMO. Tonal accuracy is pretty far off on most I've auditioned. Are you wanting to open the doors and have a block party or are you wanting SQ type comp stuff like what we do here?

Yea i want Pro Loudspeakers. I want to be able to do both. I want loud highs that you can hear me from far away but with Clarity/SQ at the same time. What would you recommend?? I dont want just loud Vocals only. thanks

I could be wrong but, trying to get SQ and being heard a block away like your talking about isn't going to be easy. You may have to choose which one you want more. Kind of like SPL guys saying they want to be the loudest SPL car but also be an SQ vehicle......not gonna happen. You can do both, but don't expect to excel in both. I've never heard anything form O2, since they are supposed to be super expensive, but the Beyma's get crazy loud and sound really nice, and for a lot less money than an O2.
