PostSubject: SB Music Question   Sat Jul 05, 2008 12:27 am

Hello, I am new to this forum. But i am not a newcomer to car audio. I am on many other forums but need a specfic answer for this sanction or car audio competion. I will be doing SB1 next week in Indiana, and I am curious on what type of music is allowed for SB. Will any Bass Mekanik cds be allowed? Or does it actually have to be MUSIC with lyrics and such. I will actually be driving three hours for the show which is another reason why i would like to know ahead of time.

Thanks
Dustin

correct. I read that in the rules. which is why I was curious. It also said it will be up to the judge. but as many people know, bass mekanik has songs with constant tones and repetative bass beats, which is what i was planning on using.

and it also has to be the real cd correct?

constant songs are what you want but can't be a sine wave also if it tone chages it'll make it easier to not be DQ'ed. If you tells us the freq. somebody will probably have a good song for you.

I am competeing with a 03 eclipse. amp is an atomic 5000.1, and subs are two apx 10s. I personally dont have a termlab. i did testing on a TL a few weeks ago and i was peaking at 45-46 hz. It was still a low tuning though. I made new port tubes with 3 inches of length cut off of each tube. Now each tube are only two inches. it opened up the freq. range greatly. the only thing im worried about is the judge dq'ing me for the music played, and me driving 3 hours for the show for nothing.

the songs of my choice can be found on this page

http://www.emusic.com/album/Bass-Mekanik-Reload-MP3-Download/10843206.html

songs are 808 tune up, Transmitta, and Woofa Toast.

any input on these tracks eligability is greatly appreciated.

thanks
Dustin.

Also, can i be in the vehicle fo SB? and car is on correct? In USACi, do all the cars just take turns in a single competeing lane? no head to head or competeing order?

i havnt checked your songs out yet,but in streetbeat you can be in the car, doors open, play the music all the way up first before you honk the horn. mic can go on the dash or the kick. yes no head to head. cars go in a line.

i read all that, but im just clarifying. I appreciate it though. And when I honk the horn, that is for the time to start correct? will competitors be required to wear ear plugs?
