| First off i was wondering what disk i have? its a white one with a solid ring of color on the outer of both a 5.1 and stereo disk. Is it by chance the "wheel" disk?
Anyway i popped the stereo disk in my HT setup (ghetto but not bad) and it was literally the cleanest thing ive ever herd... mind you im used to hip hop type music and mp3 quality so the jump was expected (also makes me cream when i think about 5.1 in the car) I happen to have a nice little 3sixty.2 that i havent really played with so i was looking for tuning tips. Unfort i dont have acess to a RTA so im not sure on where to start in terms of tuning. _________________ J. J

| | You don't need an RTA to get a good tune. If you have a 5.1 set up, that's a good disk (5.1 version). Other than that, I'd like to use mine for a coaster. LOL...everyone knows I'm not big on that disc. Hotel California does well though...and yes, you can tune with it. |

| well i dont have 5.1 now so ill be using the stereo but im planning on getting 5.1 once i can get a center channel situated.
Do you think the focal disk would be a good investment? or where can i find this wheel disk everyone is talking about _________________ J. J

| 5.1 is great. BUT............unfortunately record companies do not release disc in 5.1(majority)
the combo disc set is always gets negative remarks but to me they are the best comp discs yet. not becuase of the tracks but because you can directly compare stereo to 5.1 with good recorded material.
use any disc you can to "tune your system" when your system is setup correctly then all will sound as good as there mastering will let them. unfortunately the better sound level you get used to the more you will critique any system to the point that you will always find its flaws.
good luck with your system. compete and keep our sport alive. |

| | yup...what he said. The Focal disc is the shizzle too. USACi isn't using it currently though. I don't remember which # it is in Focal's collection...I know someone on here does. I keep wanting to say 3 or 5. I don't know. |

| I don't mind the Focal disk, not my favorite, but it works.
It would be nice to know which disk they will be using this year at finals. |
