I am new on at this spl thing

I am running two of the new Memphis M3 12" woofers on a Memphis 1100 D amp. In my first competition yesterday I hit 136.4db in the stock 601-1800 class and 108db in the sb2 class. I was wondering if i make my box bigger will that increase my sound. I have this in a 1998 towncar. I mean two third place spots on your first try is not bad.But I want to do more. Plus the speakers are not even broke in yet.

ehhh you need more power man...and in usaci they go by the 4 ohm rating of the amp....so you could have ran 0-600..and also since it is a trunked car. fire the subs and port fwd and seal it off from the back.

if i am thinking of the right car good luck man cause i think your gas tank is behind your back seat its gonna make it VERY hard to make that car loud

i am with kenny wha kind of box u got , and if that gas tank is behind the seat then good luck bro, don't feel bad in my first run i did a 138 and first street beat did a 137 i think thats when bass cd's was legal lol sounds to me u are gonna have to put a little more money in your system. like another battery in the trunk prolly one more of those 1100.1 and a good ported box if u don't have one already.

If you plan on competiting at local shows I wouldnt put alot of money in your system just find a class that is suitable to your money range and compete in that one.

The good thing is that my bass on my head unit was -6. There is another comperition this weekend and I will turn it up some to see what i could pull off

I had my Impala doing a 149... I didnt think that was a bad score coming from a trunk car... and the gas tank was behind the back seat... Neutral

gosh dang it how are u guys doing that i have a trunk car with about 4000 watts and 2 10's both getting about 2000 watts each and i am only doing like high 30's on tl. i am startin to think that my term is broken or something lol but it is new still too. buddy don't use it as much as i would like too.

I think I am going to do away with the M3 12's and do 4 M3 10"s with another 1100d

u would prolly gain some with 4 10's but 2 will fall cause i did lol but i am prolly going back to 2 12's, its all about testin man u have to test to get loud that is my only downfall
