Ext. Cab Advice/help

Subject: Ext. Cab Advice/help Tue Apr 29, 2008 7:13 am

Does anybody have a good solution to seal up those push out windows on the ext. cab trucks

EXAMPLE

Outside of hiring a welder to yank the window out and weld sheet metal into there are there any good solutions to fixing this problem. Not only does it sound bad . . . . I'm sure I lose out in my numbers from this. Any advice?

on my 95 chevy i took the windows out and ran thick weatherstriping. i had a little bit of a hard time getting the glass back in but when i got done the widows didn't pop out and i couldn't feel any air leaks. did it help if i remember right i picked up 1/4 of a db.

My side windows go crazy too.
I have actually gained in some cases by opening them for burps. Some boxes gain, others loose doing that.

I just test and see whats best...sometimes I have to get people to hold them and gain a tenth or so.

I generally have people hold em in. Still vibrate like a mofo though

I have the same problem with mine, only I have a van. Only thing I can do is hold them. Per Stock rules.

It doesn't look like a stock setup from the vids.

Holding them will probably be your best bet.

Hell one year the passenger side door on my truck had more excursion then my subs did. affraid

couldnt ya just take them off the hinges and use windshield adhesive and have them permenently closed. or would that make it a mod class

already in mod class, i was told that wouldn't be a permanent fix.
