USACI announced today that the 2008 USACI World Finals and Tuner Jam will be re-locating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. Every effort is being made to keep the current dates. Event specifics including hotels will be updated frequently over the next week. Despite incredible efforts and input on behalf of the Omaha retailers and USACI, there were obstacles to the event in the Omaha market that could not be overcome.

USACI would like to thank Stereo West, Inphase Audio, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Metro Audio for all their efforts. "While we at USACI are disappointed to be making a change so late in the season we welcome the opportunity to take USACI Finals back to Texas and develop a new venue" stated Ralph Randall, USACI's president. "We also have several forthcoming announcements coming about our new finals sponsors and the plans for our new venue!" he continued. These announcements can be expected over the next 5-7 days.

USACI has a very strong support base in the mid-south region that includes Texas and the move will undoubtedly increase not only competitor attendance but spectator turnout as well. Several manufacturers have already committed to support the event and we expect several more in the next two weeks. www.usaciworldfinals.com will be updated as contracts are secured. heres a good question for usaci. will there be power for all of us to use?? most of us use chargers.

there has to be power there guys...come on now...we have to biggest county fair in the world here in iowa from chris and my home town and guess what they have power in the convention center lol..they prob have events there alot so im can bet they have power...ralph knows we need power...let it be he will make sure all is well...and when are yall figuring on leaving ryan ? thursday before ? just wondering

We are sure they have power, will there be enough is the question, of course it is a large place.

But if you are worried we will also have 2 - 12,000 watt generators - you can rent space off of if needed. I will also bring my generators if needed. I REALLY DON'T THINK WE WILL NEED.

I know in Houston the rodeo, which is very large, has power because of the vendors booths.

With that said I am 90% sure there is power and we will get back with you on prices and such once we find out.

So as of right now there will be some car out side and the power that the competitors will be using will be off of a generator?

Lame question here, how far are hotels from the fair grounds. I'm guessing we are going to leave our vehicles there so I won't have any other mode of transportation.. I'm hoping they are within walking distance, if anyone knows what hotels that are close, real close that would help me out.. Thanks

There are hotels close to the event, I believe one is actually across the street from what someone told me.

Free power...

I gotta say I'm not excited about the last minute change...but from what I hear it couldn't be avoided. I totally understand why some people may not be able to make the longer trip but Jimbo has a point, finals has been "up north" for quite a while we'll just need to adapt to it. If your serious about competing you'll find a way to make it or you just don't want it bad enough I guess. Phinney and I will be there in 0-600 pro in the "bumble bee" (formerly known as the booger 2) Besides...It'll be a good excuse to go see Rob and Jimbo on there home turf again anyway.

anyone that needs info on hotels just pm me and i will try to get you in the right direction. as for the hotels across from the fair grounds i don't recommend them at all. i would try the first three on the link below

if you don't mind driving about 10 miles i would look at these hotels in the links below. these are just a little bit nicer hotels little cleaner. myself i will drive up saturday morning and sunday morning since i am only 100 miles

now for the security issue dallas police patrol around the park all night you will see anywhere from 2 to 5 cop cars at anytime so i wouldn't worry about parking inside the fair grounds.
