Perhaps he's too busy to get on here nowadays. Being busy is a great thing--idle minds suck. Congrats Matt. Finally finished, huh?

I bet he's one hung-over cajun this morning.

Gimme a holler Matt if you up in my neck of the woods.

I'm truly amazed to see this post! Thanks to all of my great friends who have wished me luck! It feels great to have finally completed my engineering degree! It feels even better to see all of my friends congratulating me on here! You guys have no idea what you all mean to me!

I'm going to be working at Air Liquide(http://www.airliquide.us/). The first two years I will be in their Air Liquide Leading Engineering eXcellence(ALLEX) program. It gives me the opportunity to work in many different positions at 5 or 6 different locations so that I can become familiar with all aspects of the company very quickly. I will be starting my job officially July 21st after undergoing a week of training in Houston on July 14th. I was given the option to start in Houston or start 20 minutes from my house at their Geismar, LA plant. I wanted to take one rotation here so I would know some of the guys in the area in case I want to move back here after the two years of rotating are over and what better time to take the rotation than in the fall during LSU FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

So I'll still be in Louisiana for approximately 6 months and will move to the houston area sometime around December. I'm looking forward to starting the new job, pursuing my Professional Engineer License and eventually going back to get my MBA. Yesterday was a huge milestone in my life and I finally feel relieved!

As many of you know I recently got a new car and it will be seen in the lanes eventually, but yes in SQ!! Its going to be a long process to get everything the way I want it as I drive this car everyday and will continue to do so when I compete with it. I will begin a build thread when the time comes so that you all can see whats going on. I'll be integrating some of my knowledge from school into this project and hopefully coming up with some neat tricks to make it top notch! Thanks again to all of you who have been there for me over the years! I am extremely lucky to have you guys!!!!

Great to hear Matt. Wishing you all the best. I'm glad you'll be able to put your degree to good use. My wife has a degree in Computer Information Systems and is working as a damn waitress. lol We'd also have to move to Houston or ATL or something for her to put her degree to use...she refuses to leave--so she's content with waiting tables. Go figure. Her best friend has a degree in elementary education and is working at Wal-Mart....again, go figure. Sounds like all of your hard work's about to finally pay off, and I'm sure there are lots of people who are proud of you. Hell, I don't even know you and I'm giving you a virtual high five. See you in Death Valley (season ticket holder).
